2nd edition published of Global Issues in Business Today, Free OER Textbook
I just published the second edition of my OER book - Global Issues in Business Today and you are welcome to use it! It is published under the Creative Commons license CC BY-NC-SA, which means that you can use it and/or remix it for non-commercial purposes, as long as you publish it under the same license.
I created the book by remixing a variety of chapters from other OER resources into one book for teaching Global Management Issues at the undergrad level. In the second edition, I wrote 4 additional chapters about global leadership from what I learned in the IWU global leadership course. Having an OER book that matches my class content allows me to provide to my students fixed content that I have reviewed and approved. Of course I supplement the book with other resources, but I like the continuity gained from having a customized OER, and because it is free, I hope that my students will use it before turning to a LLM AI (which has dubious validity when it comes to knowledge). I published it on Microsoft's GitBook platform, which is intended for documentation, but is easy to use and edit.
